Holistic quality management in the light of complete QM system expertise
A generic go-ahead was granted with the first workshop for the creation of a QM manual. DIETZ CONSULTANTS and BBZ Mitte had gathered 12 companies from the region in Fulda bearing in mind that the significance of quality management for companies is continually growing. Recently, the administrative district Fulda celebrated “25 years of quality management” and bore testimony to two facts that did not change: On one hand, Winfried Dietz and the BBZ continue their successful collaboration up until today. On the other hand, quality management is becoming an ever more prevalent issue for companies in order to position themselves successfully and sustainably on the market. The fact of the matter remains, that: The establishment of a functioning Quality Management System (QMS) plays a crucial role in competitive environment on the national and international front.
Importance of QM in production and development
The importance of QM in development or quality management as a strong tool for shaping the future is considered to be one of the pivotal questions. DIETZ CONSULTANTS' holistic approach based on an FMEA against the background of complete QM system expertise is well armed to provide potential answers to questions like these. Thanks to many years of experience, we know that quality management commences early on with the initial steps of development. This is how the foundation is laid for later series production, knowing that holistic risk management minimises the risk of defective products at an early stage.
BBZ Mitte Fulda: Quality management in medium-sized companies
This was also a tenor of the official anniversary of the BBZ in Fulda, which not only instigated the reunion of fellow companions of many years, but also promoted the exciting interaction and discussions about QM in medium-sized companies and globally operating corporations.
Flashback: Among other things, the dedicated services of BBZ Mitte have contributed over the past decades to the fact that the domestic economy in and around Fulda has developed a strong awareness regarding quality management. As a partner, DIETZ CONSULTANTS supports facilitating QM workshops or answering concrete quality management questions. Same was the case when Winfried Dietz, together with the former head of the technology consultation centre, Lothar Bildhäuser, gave a lecture on the origins and further development of QM. While at it, they discussed in concrete terms how errors can be avoided before they happen, within the framework of effective risk management.
QM covers the entire production process across all areas of the company
Quality management has long been mandatory in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and food industry, mechanical engineering, and covers the entire production process across all areas of the company. Among other things, safety requirements are constantly increasing. Under these conditions, it is recommended to install a QMS that makes risks obvious to eyes and excludes them as far as possible in advance with the help of appropriate measures. The methodology for the optimisation of business processes and production flows works towards the goal of continuously improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
Quality management therefore includes all organisational measures that serve to improve processing quality, performance and by extension the product itself. And it is not the sole task of the management, any one representative or a department. QM is teamwork. Employees must be sensitised about this and FMEA managers must be deliberately promoted in a systematic manner. The BBZ Mitte offers one possible approach to this end, another is offered by the DIETZ Akademie with its wide range of seminars, forums and webinars on FMEA and quality management.
