Unique Device Identification

Unique Device Identification (UDI) is a worldwide system for a uniform product design for medical devices and has been developed in the USA.

UDI is to be applied to machine-readable markers (for example, bar codes) and in clear text on the product. It is the key to a UDI (Unique Device Identification Database; UDDID) database, which contain a variety of information about the products.
