IATF

Objective of IATF:
Development of standards for the underlying QM system requirements in the automotive industry. This primarily concerns their application by the participating companies and the tier 1 suppliers of production materials, spare parts, and processing services (e. g.: Heat and surface treatment and coating).

The IATF (International Automotive Task Force) is a working group comprised of representatives of most North American and European automotive manufacturers and automotive associations and concerns itself with the harmonization (standardization) of standards to improve product quality for automotive customers.

A further working area serves to develop guidelines and procedural instructions for the global application of a standardized 3rd party certification procedure.

The following companies are full members of the IATF:
- BMW Group
- Daimler AG
- Fiat Automobiles
- Ford
- General Motors
- PSA (Citroën, DS, Opel, Peugeot, Vauxhall)
