DMAIC

DMAIC (Define - Measure - Analyze - Improve - Control, pronounced: di-meɪk) stands for the phases of a process management process.

DMAIC is the core process of the quality management approach Six Sigma. The aim is to create processes in such a way that these can maintain a stable, specified Six Sigma level of performance. This core process is only used to improve existing products. For new products there is DMADV, for new processes DMAEC (E = engineering).
